WE'RE CELEBRATING!
ELLARA JEWELRY
We create meaningful, personalized jewelry that celebrates self-expression, connection, and the moments that matter. Pieces you love to wear every day and keep close for their sentimental value.
Our goal is to make the jewelry experience feel personal from beginning to end. In studio, you can choose your chain, charms, fit, and finishing details, while our online experience gives you the freedom to build custom-fitted pieces from home.
We also believe beautiful jewelry can be created thoughtfully. We prioritize responsibly sourced materials and recycled silver whenever possible, while choosing precious metals that can be treasured, repaired, and repurposed for years to come.
Our packaging is kept minimal, eco-conscious, and beautifully presented, helping reduce unnecessary waste while allowing us to continue offering free shipping across Canada.
At the heart of Ellara is quality, individuality, connection, and creating jewelry with meaning.
Where it began...
From The Founder
Jewelry has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My dad was a jeweller, and growing up I was always surrounded by tools, scraps of metal, and loose gemstones. I loved playing with whatever I could get my hands on, even if it sometimes got me in trouble.
Creating has always been how I express myself. I would make pieces that reflected my mood, my feelings, or something that mattered to me. And I’ve always believed that jewelry should be worn and loved, not tucked away in a drawer after the excitement of receiving it fades.
Over time, I started to understand why that happens. Jewelry is often made with a one-size-fits-all approach, but people aren’t one size. I have a small wrist myself, and whenever I custom-fitted a piece to me, I noticed something different: I actually wore it. It felt comfortable, intentional, and like it belonged to me.
With my background in jewelry making and goldsmithing, I realized that what I truly wanted was to create that feeling for other people.
That became the heart of Ellara.
I wanted to give people the freedom to build jewelry around their own lives, to choose the chain, the charms, the fit, and the meaning behind every detail. Something personal enough that it doesn’t lose its significance when the initial excitement fades.
Some of my own most-loved pieces aren’t necessarily combinations I would have chosen purely for their colours or design. I wear a family bracelet with my children’s birthstones, and while their birthstone colours may not be my first choice aesthetically, that doesn’t matter to me. I wear it because of who it represents.
That is what made me realize how powerful jewelry can be.
I’ve had the privilege of creating pieces for mother-daughter moments, best friends, graduations, anniversaries, bridal celebrations, new beginnings, and milestones worth remembering. I’ve also created memorial pieces for people carrying the memory of a loved one or a beloved pet who is no longer with them.
Some pieces celebrate the happiest moments of our lives. Others help us hold onto the people and memories we never want to forget.
To me, the true value of jewelry comes from wearing it often, comfortably, and with meaning. The piece you reach for every morning will always hold more value than the one that spends most of its life in a jewelry box.

Partnership and Sustainability
Who We Partner With
At Ellara, we believe thoughtful jewelry begins with thoughtful partnerships. We source raw materials and components from trusted partners in Canada, China, and Italy, choosing suppliers who share our commitment to quality, ethical business practices, mutual respect, and strong international trade relationships.
Our materials and products are REACH compliant/certified where applicable and are selected through strict quality-control standards. Whenever possible, we prioritize recycled silver, gold, and brass to reduce the need for newly mined materials.
We also carefully select our packaging with sustainability in mind, keeping it minimal, beautiful, and designed to have a lower environmental impact.
For our jewelry-making tools, equipment, and technology, we work with partners in USA and South Korea, giving us access to specialized technology that supports the precision, craftsmanship, and personalization behind our pieces.
Above all, we value long-term partnerships built on trust, responsible sourcing, quality, and respect for each other's country.
Sustainable Growth
Sustainability is an important part of how we want Ellara to grow. As our business expands, we are committed to making thoughtful choices that reduce our environmental impact while still creating beautiful, meaningful jewelry made to last.
We use recycled silver and gold whenever possible and continue to seek responsible material options as they become available. Our packaging is intentionally kept minimal, using recycled and recyclable materials where we can. By avoiding unnecessary packaging and keeping shipments lightweight, we can reduce waste and shipping impact while continuing to offer free shipping across Canada.
Our commitment is ongoing. In 2027, we plan to transition toward compostable shipping mailers as another step in reducing our reliance on conventional packaging materials. Our long-term goal is to build Ellara around renewable, recycled, and lower-impact resources wherever possible.
We believe sustainable growth is about making better choices as we grow, not simply growing more. Every improvement, whether in our materials, packaging, production, or shipping, is part of our commitment to creating jewelry thoughtfully and building a business that considers its impact for the future.
Handmade
Every Ellara piece is thoughtfully handmade in our Edmonton, Alberta studio with care, intention, and attention to detail. We’re proud to create jewelry in Canada, finishing each order by hand rather than treating it as something mass produced.
Many of the designs we release are inspired by the real people who visit Ellara and the conversations we share with them. We hear stories about love, family, change, new beginnings, loss, milestones, and the moments people want to keep close.
That meaning often finds its way into the jewelry we create. A charm can represent so much more than its shape, a birthstone can hold a loved one close, an initial can honour someone important, and even a starfish can become a symbol of resilience, renewal, and moving forward after a difficult chapter.
For us, craftsmanship is not only about how a piece is made. It is about creating something personal, meaningful, and made with love and care, jewelry that carries a little piece of your story.
